Kohima: Minister for home, veterinary and animal husbandry Thenucho today made a clarion call to the student community to uphold and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas.
Speaking at the cultural session of the Chakhesang Students’ Union at Dzulhami village, the minister sang a sweet tune on the rich culture and tradition, which he said “signifies the uniqueness and rare identity” of the Nagas.
He also called upon the students to follow the good manners which were practiced by our forefathers.
Also expressing deep concern over the social evils in the present society, the minister urged the CSU to play an important role in eradicating such evils and create a correct and clean atmosphere to live in.
Later, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF)’s president Phushika Awomi graced the valedictory function as the guest of honour. Business hour and election of new office bearers also marked the conference.
