President's Correctional Service Medal for T. Bendangsenla

Dimapur, January 31 (MExN): The Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi has approved the name of T. Bendangsenla, Assistant Office Superintendent of Prison Headquarter for award of the President's Correctional Service Medal for Meritorious Service on occasion of Republic Day 2017.   According to a press release issued by Director General of Prison, Kohima her name was forwarded by the Director General of Prison Nagaland, Rupin Sharma IPS, to the Government of Nagaland and Government of India who have duly recognized these achievements and contributions. Bendangsenla is also an awardee for the Governor's Gold Medal on occasion of Republic Day 2017 announced by the Government of Nagaland.   The press release also stated that Bendangsenla, apart from the usual duties actively contributed to nurture the ideas regarding reforms of prisoners in Jails within Nagaland. She was instrumental in imparting trainings and being the demonstrator for short term skills inside the jails. For the welfare of the prisoners of Nagaland, she shepherded the projects by coordinating with the NGOs, churches and organizations. The Catholic Churches, Pentecostal Churches, Revival Churches and Baptist Churches of many Major tribes within Kohima are a part of the reformatory project.
