Exams are over and many students stand at a crossroad. What career to choose ,which stream to pursue! You must know that it is your choice and you must make a wise one. It is never about choosing a safe or guaranteed path which will lead to success. When passion dies, so does the reason to live. So, make a choice that aligns with your values and your passion. I know it's hard and you must be confused, to either take the conventional path or the unconventional one. Remember it is your choice.
Parents, I know you are worried about your child's future and career, it is natural to do so. But you cannot make every decision for them. This decision is theirs and theirs alone. You must instead encourage them to choose a career of their choice and say that you will fully support them. Parents, you might have dreams and careers that you could not achieve or fulfill but if you forced them to your children, won't they also lose theirs like yours? Let them dream, let them live and let them fulfill their dreams.
Students, you live in Nagaland where you would hear that "Science is for the good students", "Arts are for the backbenchers" and that "Commerce has no scope", the question arises, Are you going to let such narrow minded people decide who you become. You can be anything as long as you pursue it faithfully and truthfully. Lastly, know that life is not always about success and status, glitters and glamours. As long as you pursue your passion, you would have fulfilled your life's worth.
Choose well fellow friends and let me leave you with a quote" Don't ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because the world needs people who had come alive".
