Private schools in Changtongya have created history of sort in the recently declared High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination with all four private schools in the area bagging cent percent pass percentage. These schools of Changtongya include Christian Standard Higher Secondary School, St. John’s School, Oriental School, and Green River Valley High School. Number of candidates passed from these institutions stand at 9, 9, 8 and 10 respectively. Government High School, Changtongya also registered a pass percentage of 50.88%. Out of 53 appeared, 29 candidates were successful.
