‘Progressive society requires a strong political vision’

23rd Nokhu Range Public Organization cum Hok-Ah festival 2025 held

Tuensang, January 17 (MExN): The 23rd Nokhu Range Public Organization (NRPO) cum Hok-Ah festival 2025 held at Langnok Village under the theme ‘Progressive Society’ was graced by Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, S Supongmeren Jamir on January 16.

Speaking on the occasion, Supongmeren Jamir emphasised that a progressive society requires a strong political vision, quality education, economic sustainability, and individuals with strong beliefs. He stressed the importance of maintaining peace and unity to achieve progress. Encouraging the gathering, he urged everyone to continue working harder in all their endeavours. Additionally, he called for fostering admiration and respect among people from all walks of life, stated a DIPR report. 

While challenging the gathering, Jamir promised Nokhu Range Public Organization that he will reward fifty thousands to all the successful NPSC aspirations specially EAC, DSP and central Army service during 2026-27 (for two years).

He also promises to give twenty five thousand each for best entrepreneur and Master of Theology degree holders during the year 2026 to 2027.

Earlier, presidential address was pronounced by President NRPO, Thiamo, while the welcome address was delivered by Hd. GB Langnok Village, Khonglai and Folk Fusion was presented by La Lan King Band.
