DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 24 (MExN): The Dimapur Police Commissioner has prohibited assembly of not more than 5 persons, carrying lethal weapons and firearms including lathis, dagger/ machete, sticks, spears, catapults or any other dangerous articles in the Dhansaripar Sub-Division. This order shall come into effect from 5:00 pm of February 25 till 5:00 am of February 27 and resume from 6:00 pm of February 27 to remain enforced until further order. This order was issued considering “apprehension that movement/presence of anti-social elements in Dhansaripar Sub-Division may result in breach of peace/ breach of Law & Order; endangering human life and properties, which may disturb the conduct of Free and Fair Election process.” The order further stated that on the day of polling, a window period has been relaxed to facilitate the voters to part take in the electoral process.
