Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): The prohibitory orders imposed in Kohima and Dimapur under Section 144 CrPC have been revoked with immediate effect. The Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has lifted the prohibitory order imposed in some places of Kohima – Old Ministers’ Hill, Jail Colony and Raj Bhavan area – as law and order situation has been found to have improved and normalcy is returning. The prohibitory order was issued on February 2 in the mentioned areas. In a separate press release, Limasunep Jamir (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Dimapur informed that the prohibitory order imposed in the areas within Dimapur Town till Chumukedima since January 31 has been revoked.
