Promotion of NCS, NSS officers notified

DIMAPUR/KOHIMA, JUNE 2 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has reportedly issued a number of notifications recommending promotion to several Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) and Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) officers. According to reliable sources at Kohima the series of notification were issued on May 31 and June 1, 2011. The order was as per the recommendation of the Departmental Promotion Committee. The Head of the State, which in this case is the Governor, has already signed the promotion order, sources informed.
 Among the officials listed for promotion include B.P Chetri from Special Selection Grade to Super time Grade. Those promoted from higher selection grade to special grade include Mikha Lomi, Angau I Thou, C. Merio Tsanglao and T. Kiheto Sema. Another group of officers promoted from selection grade to higher selection grade are Imjung M Panger, Beiu Angami, T. Nungsang and A. Wopen Lotha. According to information the effective date of promotion for the above officers will be April 27, 2011.
It was also informed that three NSS officers have been promoted from Deputy Secretary to the post of Joint Secretary. They are Piamoni Yanthan, Lanukaba Jamir and K. Ponarepba Ao. Their effective date of promotion is April 27, 2011. According to sources they will continue to serve in their present posting till further orders.
Further among the NSS officers those promoted from Under Secretary to Deputy Secretary rank are Medoyole Kechu, C. Medong and C. Ajung. Seven NSS officers have also been promoted from Section Officer to the post of Under Secretary. These are K. Solhou Koza, Jonjang, SL. Adaha Neikha, Meduhele, Sehkholun, K. Naben and Imtimongba.
Another four lady NSS officers have been promoted from Junior Section Officer to the post of Section Officer. They are Temjenmenla, Neizohole, Panelu Phesao and Neisabeinuo. Also those promoted from Secretariat Assistant to the post of Junior Section Officer include Lithungbeni Lotha, Chingai Panja, Angaule Meruno, Longdisang, Arenla Imchen, Yankholumo and  Tumchobeni. For the NSS officers promoted the effective date of promotion will be on the date of taking over charge. All promoted officers will continue to serve in their present posting place till further orders, it was informed.
Meanwhile it was also informed that other similar notifications of ‘officiating’ promotion have been issued. However these are yet to be confirmed.
