Initiated by several Dimapur-based NGOs, an awareness campaign under the name "Protect Dimapur COVID-19 was launched at Clock Tower Junction, Dimapur. Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi called for the need to take self precautionary measures by every individual in the fight against the pandemic. He also called for new mechanism to fight the disease.
Dimapur Municipal Council, Administrator, Albert Ezung said the authorities have so far been able to manage the challenges put forth by the pandemic through people's participation. He said Covid-19 had also thrown open opportunities to serve humanity. He lauded the various NGOs for coming forward to create awareness about the disease.
The awareness campaign will last till July 31.
