Protected Area Regime 1958 relaxed

Kohima, November 14 (MExN): As per Ministry of Home Affairs and Home Department Notification, the entire area of the state of Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram covered by the Protected Area Regime 1958 has been relaxed initially for a period of one year with an exception of the citizens of Afghanistan, China and Pakistan. Myanmar Nationals visiting the states beyond 16Kms from the Indo-Myanmar border also require PAP/RAP.

Nationals of above countries namely Afghanistan, China, Pakistan and Myanmar visiting Nagaland are required Restricted Area Permit, without which they are not allowed to enter Nagaland. All Foreigners should register themselves with SP/FRRO on arrival, a release receiver her said today. All agencies/departments/individuals who wants to bring Foreigners to the state have been requested to follow the said procedural.
