Phek, December 20 (MExN): The 65th general session- cum-cultural dance competition 2024 of the Phek Students’ Union (PSU) will take place on January 4 and 5, 2024 at Phek village local ground.
MLA Kuzholiizo (Azo) Nienu, leader NPF Legislature Party will grace the session as the cultural guest. Zhokupa Hoshi, Assistant Programme Officer, School Education, Nagaland will be the inaugural speaker while Vechisayi Venuh, Assistant District Education Officer Phek will be valedictory speaker.
Greetings will be shared by Phek Village Council Chairman, Chivozo Soho and Phekmi Collegiate Forum President, Vekupa Venuh.
Chakhesang Public Organization President, Veziihii Keyho and Shevozo Nienu, headmaster Government High School Phek Town will also exhort the gathering.
The session will be marked by spelling bee, extempore speech and quiz competition, installation of new office bearers, etc. Grade ‘A’ holders from each school/college/universities for the academic year 2023 shall be honoured during the session.
Folk dance competition winner will be awarded with late Huvekhuyi Soho Memorial Trophy along with Rs 20,000 as running money while 1st runner up will receive Rs 15,000 as running money, sponsored by Vepasa Venuh. The winner of Quartet Indigenous will be awarded with running prize of Rs 20,000 donated by Niekhozolu Venuh & family in memory of late Ezo Venuh.
Meanwhile, PSU extended invitation to all frontal leaders and well wishers to the session.
