Pungro post office upgraded to Sub-Post Office

Pungro, May 7 (MExN): The inauguration programme for the upgradation of Pungro Branch Post Office to Sub-Post Office was held at Pungro town on May 7.

Advisor to Fire and Emergency Services, Home Guards, Civil Defence, and Relief & Rehabilitation, S Kiusumew Yimchunger unveiled the monolith in the presence of Director, Indian Postal Services, Dr Alice K Vizo (IPoS), stated a DIPR report. 

Advisor Kiusumew applauded the State Government and the Department for their unwavering commitment to uplifting the Pungro subdivision and Kiphire district as a whole. The programme was chaired by Titoka T Assumi, IP Kohima Sub-Division, who encouraged the attendees to continue supporting both the Department and the State Government. 

In his speech, Dr. Vizo expressed her appreciation to the Advisor and encouraged the postal staff to work diligently and sincerely in service of the general public. 

Vote of thanks was delivered by Kongsu, President of the Public Forum, Pungro Sub-Division, who extended heartfelt appreciation to the Advisor and the Postal Department for their efforts.

The event was attended by all stakeholders from the Pungro Sub-Division.
