PVC seizes banned liquor in surprise enforcement drive

KOHIMA, MAY 9 (MExN): The Phesama Village Council (PVC), in collaboration with the Phesamiapfü Mechü Krotho (Women Organization) and the Phesama Youth Organisation (PYO), conducted a surprise inspection within its jurisdiction on May 8.

The operation aimed to curb the sale of illegal drugs, alcohol, and other prohibited substances, as well as to address the unauthorized tapping of water in and around Phesama Village.

During the drive, several offenders were identified, and banned items such as beer, whiskey, rum, and other substances were seized by the authorities.

The Phesama Village leadership reiterated its commitment to maintaining a peaceful and harmonious environment for people from various communities residing within its jurisdiction. The Village Council further emphasized its standing resolution to not tolerate any unwanted social elements, whether they are villagers or outsiders, and vowed to take necessary actions to safeguard the well-being of the community.
