Kohima, February 25 (MExN): The Pochury Wrestling Association (PWA) will be holding Naga Traditional Wrestling training- cum- 1st PWA wrestling championship 2026 on February 26 at Meluri Local Ground.
Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, Advisor NRE & NSDMA, Government of Nagaland will grace the meet as the special guest.
The champion will fetch a cash prize of Rs 7000 while runner- up will receive Rs 5000. The 3rd position holder will be awarded with Rs 3000.
The inaugural function will start at 1:30 PM.
The programme will be chaired by Er Joyson Yitsiithu while PWA president Sipichu will deliver presidential address. Greetings will be shared by Shiekutho, president, Sports Association Meluri District.
Vote of thanks will be proposed by PWA general secretary Kaison Pfithu. The meet will be hosted by Meluri Range Sports Association.
Meanwhile, the Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) has assigned Vekhosazo and Tavesuh to officiate the 1st PWA wrestling championship 2026.
