PWUK organizes seminar on promotion of economic, education & sports sector

The Phekmi Welfare Union Kohima (PWUK) today conducted a one day seminar on promotion of economic, education and sports sector at Forest Colony Community Hall, Kohima.

Sharing greetings, MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, leader Naga People’s Front Legislature Party called upon the students to develop a competitive spirit. He told the students to be on the right track and accomplish their goals.

Quoting chief minister Neiphiu Rio as saying “there is no more backdoor appointment, no more political appointment,” Azo maintained that it clearly signaled that any appointment will now be done on merit basis.

In this, Azo called upon the students to be part of “best of the best” and walk the extra mile to excel in life.

The resource persons of the seminar included; Neichute Doulo, CEO, Entrepreneurs Associates, Niikutulii S. Venuh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atoizu, Zunheboto and Surhoneyi Soho, silver medalist, National Belt Wrestling Championship.

Neichute Doulo talked on the topic “Livelihood, Self employment & Entrepreneurship” and while Niikutulii S. Venuh spoke on “Fostering the spirit of competitiveness.”

Surhoneyi Soho talked on the topic “Be sports professional through physical fitness.”

Shevoduyi Venuh, Zhohuve Venuh, Rukuvolu Hoshi and Vikedu Nienu led the seminar sessions.

Khrusatalü Soho, deaconess, Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill Kohima and Dr Zokho Venuh, principal, Capital College of Higher Education (CCHE) Kohima pronounced opening and closing prayer respectively.

Hukuyi Venuh, Assistant Professor, CCHE assisted the event as seminar coordinator.
