Queen Mary School Class of 2005 demand justice for Imkongjeba

Mokokchung, February 25 (MExN): The batchmates of Imkongjeba Kichu from Queen Mary School, Mokokchung (Class of 2005) in a condemnation note stated that they are “deeply disturbed and shocked at the cold blooded murder of our dear friend on February 22.”

‘This barbaric incident in broad daylight is not only an act of cowardice but unlawful and inhumane. Such senseless act of killing is an outright violation of human rights and a sign of barbarism. Our dear friend was a very responsible citizen who continuously strived and worked for the welfare and betterment of our community and society at large,” the classmates stated.

While keeping faith with the authorities and law enforcing agencies, the Class of 2005 said it ‘stands in unflinching solidarity with the family of the victim and the people of Chungtia in demanding that befitting justice is delivered at the earliest in accordance with law; that we will not withdraw our stand until justice is served for the victim. We owe it to his memory to fight for a more just, free and peaceful world.’
