Kohima, October 8 (MExN): Kohima Forest Division in collaboration with Divisional Management Unit (DMU), Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) observed Wildlife Week 2023 by conducting quiz competition at forest office complex, Kohima on October 6.
Dwelling on Wildlife Week 2023 theme ‘partnerships for wildlife conservation,’ Chisayi IFS, DFO & DMU Head Kohima said, “Everyone should work in partnership with different institutions and organisations to carry the conservation movement forward.”
He expressed happiness by the participation and vast knowledge of the students on wildlife of Nagaland. He encouraged the students to contribute to the noble cause of protecting the wildlife.
The DFO gave away the certificates and cash awards to the winners, Media Cell, Kohima Forest Division stated in a press release.
Ronseron Shitio, Class IX and Ochaliro Amer, Class X students of RDNUMS Kohima emerged winner of the quiz competition, followed by Meyieto Sothu and Imlibong Jamir, both class X students of Coraggio School Kohima and K Supie, Class X and Neisevino Class IX students of Stella Higher Secondary School Kohima as the 2nd and 3rd winners respectively.
The programme was chaired by Dr Sevono Seletsu, ACF & ADMU Head Kohima, while N Manikho Data Entry cum Computer Operator, DMU Kohima, NFMP was the quiz master. Earlier, Ngampie, UDA, Kohima Forest Division said the invocation while Peteneizo Kire, Accounts Assistant, DMU Kohima, NFMP proposed vote of thanks.
