Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): Rachel Sonar of Nagaland State was crowned as Miss Chavang Kut Northeast 2021.
“As the 1st edition of Miss Chavang Kut Northeast 2021 conducted virtually came to an end, the results of the grand finale were announced on November 1 on the occasion of Chavang Kut,” informed a press release received here.
The grand finale was conducted on October 26 last where Rachel Sonar of Nagaland was declared winner followed by 1st Runner up: Jeslin Lamneivah Mate (Manipur) and 2nd Runner up: Damaris Ari paoh (Manipur).
The contestants were selected after going through different tasks such as ramp walk video, fashion icons, sub contest video, Chavang Kut speech competition, traditional costume competition, and personal interview through online zoom meeting, which took about 14 days.
The subtitles winners were Miss Venonulu Ringa of Nagaland-Miss fashion icon; Miss Pratishya Medhi of Assam-Best Rampwalk; Miss Hanluchi of Nagaland-Miss Photogenic and Miss Popularity.
The jury of the grand finale included Prabha Chettri, Reigning Miss Beauty Queens Northeast 2021, Aries Haoneo Kuki, singer and song writer and Looni Chongloi, actress, former winner of Miss Transgender NE.
