Hailstorms lashed parts of Nagaland today damaging several houses and farms. There were reports of heavy hailstorm in some parts of Mokokchung and Wokha districts.
As per preliminary reports, Mokokchung witnessed hailstorms in places like Impur, Yimsemyong and Longkong Villages, an official from the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) informed The Morung Express. The official also informed that hailstorms lashed parts of Wokha district, particularly in Mekokla village and surrounding areas. It was added that the authority is still waiting for detailed reports.
Photos shared on various social media platforms and through official sources also showed damages to houses and fields.
Light to heavy shower was also recorded across the state including the capital Kohima and Dimapur.





At 8:00 pm on Tuesday, both Mokokchung and Kohima were experiencing chilly weather with temperatures of around 11 degrees Celsius and 8 degrees Celsius respectively.
