IMPHAL, NOVEMBER 6 (NNN): Innovative Artistes Welfare Association (IAWA) today took out a ‘peace road rally’ in Imphal with a slogan, "Let us voice together to end domestic violence and child abuse". The rally was flagged off from Kangla Western Gate and culminated near Cheirap Court gate, Uripok. Speaking to media persons, Bomichand Khaba, director of Northeast India for IAWA, India said that they are organising the peace rally from Kangla Western gate to Cheirap Court in Uripok passing the crowded Ima Market area to give a strong message to the general public about the domestic violence, child abuse and sexual harassment and other things which cause adverse effects to the society. Apart from the rally, they also distributed pamphlets to the people on domestic violence, child abuse and sexual harassment.
