Rana assures all round development for Upper Chandmari Ward 12

Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) candidate Priyadarshni Rana for ULB election from Ward-12 under Kohima Municipal Council on Friday affirmed to work for all round development of the colony if elected.

Addressing the election campaign kick-off cum blessing programme on June 14, Rana while appealing the electorate of the Ward to “help her in the election and use her as their representative,” assured to work in consonance with the colony leaders, elders and the young alike to bring about all aspects of development and progress for the Ward.

An advocate by profession, Rana assured that being a citizen of the ward, she would start providing free legal service to the locality people and continue even after the election.

She also promised to start a day care centre for elderly of the colony within 250 days of being elected to Kohima Municipality.

Declaring her vision of contesting the ULB election as “Open boundaries, open doors”, she said “we will bring transparency and accountability to decisions and action, so everyone knows what's up.”

She also asserted for an inclusive development and that she would ensure every corner of society thrives.

Also expressing concern on the youngsters stepping into wrong directions, she called upon them to join hands and work together for their welfare.

Nagaland’s School Education & SCERT advisor, Kekhrielhoulie Yhome appealed the electorates to vote for Rana.

He also affirmed that NDPP has given party tickets to non-Angami tribes considering the cosmopolitan nature and also showing the inclusivity of the party because of which a minority women candidate from the Nepali community has been given the ticket in Chandmari.

Rana is a capable lady and with her experience as a Supreme Court lawyer and also as social activist. The Ward 12 would benefit and also help towards making Kohima shine one day, he said.

NDPP Kohima Region president Prasilie Pienyü, NDPP Kohima Region women organization president Kekhrienuo Mor and other party leaders also appealed the electorates to vote for Rana.
