This encounter at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Sovima is vital for both teams, as a top-two finish in the group would ensure progression to the finals and promotion to the Elite Group next season. After winning the toss, Sikkim opted to bat but faced a consistent and disciplined Nagaland bowling attack, ending the day at 157/7 after 91 overs.

Sikkim’s top scorer, Ashish Thapa, contributed a vital 57 runs off 158 balls, anchoring the innings and providing stability when wickets were falling at the other end. Nilesh Lamichaney supported Thapa with 30 runs off 127 balls, while Parth Palawat remained not out with 29 off 133 balls.
