Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas and SHG mela held in Pfutsero

PFUTSERO, OCTOBER 15 (MExN): The Chakhesang Women Welfare Society organised the celebration of Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas and District Level farmers and SHG mela with Atou Kapfo. PS to Minister Planning & Coordination, Land revenue, Parliamentary Affairs as special guest at Sports Complex, Pfutsero town on October 15.
Speaking at the celebration, SDO Civil, Pfutsero, Diana Patton said that the participation of the farmers at the celebration reflects the hard work put in by the farmers community in Phek district. She congratulated the farmers on behalf of the administration. 
She said that the development can take many forms calling upon the participants to understand the market demand and supply and analyze if they can fulfill the demands in the market. Our goal should be to make Nagaland a producing state which will depend on the farmers, she added. 
All together 31 villages and 98 SHGs participated in the celebration. Invocation was said by Rev Dr Dingu Kenye, President CBCC; and welcome address by Vechulo-u Kanuo, Executive Director, CWWS.
