Razeba Town Chakhesang Students’ Union celebrates 25 yrs anniversary

Razeba, December 29 (MExN): Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo graced the 25th anniversary celebration Razeba Town Chakhesang Students’ Union (RTCSU) at Razeba Local Ground as the special guest in Phek district on December 29.

In his address, he commended the RTCSU for reaching 25 years, asked the union and its members to set visions for the next 25 years for the overall development and status of the people, infrastructure, and boost their economy among others. 

He hailed the hardworking and honest culture of the people from the Razeba area and challenged the younger generation to continue to uphold the same while adding that such virtues cannot be purchased by money, unlike other commodities.

Pointing out that the world, including Nagaland, is moving at a fast pace with stiff competition in various fields, he urged youngsters to be well-prepared and more competent. He asked the students to be serious about their chosen professions.

The Advisor stated that, back then, due to turmoil and disturbances, there were hindrances to venturing into business and other fields. However, with the existing situation of peace in the state, he encouraged the youngsters to grasp the opportunity.

He also asserted that the Government of the day has been advocating for meritocracy, and it has now become impossible for youngsters to get a job without appearing for competitive examinations. He told the students to be hardworking and determined.

Highlighting the various initiatives of the school education such as rationalization of schools, redeployment of teachers, and exercises to curb the proxy culture, he also asked the student bodies to fight back and also support in the interest of the school to bring about positive changes in their schools for the future or the students.

Furthermore, the Advisor asked the students to have “The will,” adding that no force can stop a person if one decides to pursue with “I Will.” He asked the student leaders and parents to guide the youngsters to choose a proper career, upbringing an upright person to contribute positively to society.

A solidarity message was delivered by Medovi Rhi, President, Naga Students Federation (NSF). Greetings were delivered by Avezo Kevin Kapu, President, Chakhesang Students Union (CSU), and Mosonyi Krocha, Vice-chairman, Razeba Adhoc Town Council.

Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by Boni Bunyi Zholia, Convenor of the Jubilee Committee. The presidential address was delivered by Vingaulu Movi, general secretary's report was presented by Rakokhrulu Krocha, and vote of thanks was proposed by Vitoulu Domeh, Convenor of the Finance Committee. Special songs were presented by Rhasoulu Movi, and a folk song was presented by the Razeba Women Society.

Earlier, Khamo unveiled the monolith to commemorate the occasion, and a souvenir was also released.
