Mokokchung, March 7 (MExN): The re-orientation training on Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme ( RNTCP) and DOTS-PLUS was held at IDSP hall, IMDH Mokokchung on March 6. Dr. Chubatemsu Jamir DTO Mokokchung chaired the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Deputy CMO Dr. Kibang and all the SMO’s and MO’s of different health units in the district. Detailed DOTS-PLUS strategy was thoroughly discussed with special emphasis on health awareness and prevention of MDR-TB. Deputy CMO in his brief speech highlighted the prevention of TB in the community and blame the health workers for default in the treatment. He stated that lack of health education and awareness to be the main reason for this case. He encouraged the participants to be more dedicated and sincere to strive away this disease from our community.
