Atoizu, September 8 (MExN): The reconstituted Executive Body of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Atoizu Division led by Shiwoto Aye, President NDPP 32 Atoizu was held at Atoizu Town Council Hall on September 8.

Among others, KT Sukhalu Advisor School Education & SCERT and  Er Picto Shohe, MLA 32 Atoizu Assembly Constituency were present during the programme. 

As per a press release from the unit, during his speech, Er Shohe expressed his gratitude to Sukhalu, NDPP Zunheboto region, NDPP Central leaders and all people for attending the event and reposing faith  in the people of the constituency. 

Underlining some of the developmental activities, he said that under the Chief Minister Nephiu Rio’s leadership, the oldest Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) College has received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation in three Diploma Programmes and also the payment of KPA land compensation has been approved by the State government after much effort. 

 The much-awaited Atoizu outpost police station has now been upgraded into full fledged Atoizu Police Station after his formal approach to Chief Minister, he said. 

All the major RCC Bridges under the Constituency which are connecting with the District Headquarters Zunheboto and the state capital Kohima has been constructed and completed during the term of the present government, he maintained.

A fresh proposal for blacktopping of the road from Doyang to KPA has been submitted to the Ministry with an additional project for Imuloto to Sapitika, Phili to Sapitika, Shena to N. Longidang villages connecting Wokha District are on the pipeline, he added.

Sukhalu also noted that the present United Democratic Alliance government is more  committed for Naga political settlement.

However if there is no political settlement and if at all the election is to be held then it would be on the same seat sharing formula 20/40, he said.

He further said that the present Legislators are ready to pave way in the event of political solution being arrived.

He further appreciated Er Shohe for his selfless service and development to his people and mentioned that through the untiring effort of the incumbent MLA and the intervention of Chief Minister several development is taking place in Atoizu.

The programme was attended by NDPP Central office bearers, NDPP Zunheboto region, NDPP 35 Zunheboto Assembly Constituency, 36 Satakha Assembly Constituency, NDPP 32 Atoizu A/C and other officials delegates and well wishers. 

Khehoshe H Yeptho, President, NDPP Zunheboto Region chaired the programme while P Hutovi Awomi General Secretary, NDPP Zunheboto Region record the proceedings.
