Regimented Army needs refresher course

India gave herself a Constitution and became an Independent country on the 15th August, 1947 and swore by her Constitution to abide by the Constitutional provisions and protocols enshrined therein in the Governance of Independent India.

However, over the years of regimented mindset from the highest to the lowest both within and outside of the establishment and political corruptions and manipulations of a handful so called privileged with number games of Mob Politics have not only destroyed India’s secular democratic fabric, but also have created a class where the sacredness and maintenance of Constitutional norms and protocols are not important and therefore, abuse whenever possible and treated her citizens like a prostitute.

A concrete manifestation of this classic case is the recent Army Chiefs Gen. II Singh visit to Dimapur where even the 3rd Corps Commander Lt. Gen Z.U. Shah and the GOC, Nagaland Maj. Gen. S.S. Kumar in the rank and files of the Commanders of Nagaland may have been the present and jubilated over the abuse of the local Medias in Dimapur and the Constitutional representatives of the State Government of Nagaland and the Government of India were humiliated beyond human tolerance.

This reflects that the Indian Army establishment, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Home Affairs needs a Refresher Course on Constitutional Obligations and Protocols that are mandatory to observe from the highest to the lowest levels.

In the present case, the Army Chief, the Core Commander, the GOC Nagaland are all subject to the D.C, Dimapur by the virtue of his constitutional position when the above dignitaries are in his district. The fact that despite of the contribution of the Chief Minister and the Government of Nagaland towards the Army school, none of the above dignitaries of Nagaland were neither invited not contacted and abusing the Local District Head by the Programme Organizers reflects a very low level of regimented mindset of the Security Forces in Nagaland and North-East.

We hope Chief of the Indian Army Gen. J.J. Singh, the Defense Ministry and Home Ministry have logical explanation on their attitude towards Nagaland and North-East because, opinion makers, opinion Creators and custodian of Constitutional Positions were abused and templed on in the form of Security Checks and discriminating invitational strategies.
