EAC Chumu informs on census training

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 26 (MExN):
All the supervisors and enumerators under the jurisdiction of EAC Chumukedima have been informed that the training for the second phase of Census Operations 2011 shall be held from January 27 to 29  at GHSS Chumukedima from 9.30 am onwards. Hence, all concerned are hereby directed to report in time positively. Absentees shall be penalised as per the provisions under the Census Act and the Citizenship Act 1955. This was stated in a press note issued by B.Henok Buchem, EAC & Charge Officer Chumukedima.

KSSU informs

Kohima, January 26 (MExN):
The Kohima Sumi Students Union (KSSU) informed its members that the Union shall be attending the All Sumi Students Union (SKK) general conference to be held at Alaphu village from January 27 to 30. In this connection, delegates have been requested to reach NST Bus Terminus Kohima latest by 8:00 am on January 27.

ASA 40th meet 2011

Kohima, January 26 (MExN):
The Angami Sports Association (ASA) will hold its 40th meet 2011 (Athletic & Games) from February 1 to 3 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. MLA Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, chairman Khadi & Village Industries Board will grace the occasion as the chief guest while MLA KV Pusa will be the guest of honour. Around 400 athletes from SASA, NASA, WASA and CSA are expected to participate in the meet. Meanwhile, all constituent units have been requested to bring along with them three young aspirant free style wrestlers (whose age should be below 12 years) for special coaching.

NPSA to hold general conference

Kohima, January 26 (MExN):
The Nagaland Police Service Association (NPSA) will hold its general conference on January 29 at 11:00 am at Rhododendron Hall, Police Complex, Chumukedima. L. Kire, IFS, commissioner & secretary to Chief Minister and Land Resource Development department will grace the conference as the chief guest. Three officers from each battalion and two officers from each DEF, all officers posted in Chumukedima and Dimapur and all NPS (Prob) have been informed to attend the conference.

TDUN issues clarification

Dimapur, January 26 (MExN):
The Tuensang District User Network (TDUN) during the meeting held on January 11 had resolved to make “clarification so as to dispel any propaganda that may arise in the near future.” The TDUN in a press release jointly appended by its advisor James Chang, secretary Thapli, joint secretary Asangba and Aliba stated that the 1st anniversary of the TDUN was observed on May 17, 2007 in the form of a fellowship (NA) under the aegis of Eleutheros Christian Society. The 2nd anniversary was held on August 27, 2010 by the then network had become a matured organization. During the last NUN conference at Kohima the TDUN represented the District Level Network (DLN) led by Toshirenba Ao as president and Thapli, secretary TDUN along with 6 (six) other members of the network. On December 14, 2010 during the emergency meeting, Toshirenba Ao, the then president of the TDUN was unanimously asked to resign by the members for reason best known to the individual as well as the TDUN and to which he agreed.  The TDUN during the meeting on January 11 have setup a nominating committee for the selection of a capable president by the end of January and during this period the TDUN advisor will lead the network as ‘acting president.’
