'Habitual' thief caught by OHYO
Kohima, March 18 (MExN): The Officer’s Hill Youth Organization (OHYO) has caught a habitual thief named Gwasheno Seb (Michael) son of late Chenso of Phacharo village from the colony. He has been active and has been involved in many thefts, the organization said in a release adding that it has also come to the notice that there is an active gang involved. The OHYO requested higher authorities not to bail the accused and to thoroughly investigate the case and to nab the other members.
NMHYO reaffirms
Kohima, March 18 (MExN):The New Ministers’ Hill Youth Organization (NMHYO) reaffirmed to stand by its resolution to restrict using of alcohol and intoxicating substances at Viewpoint near Cathedral. The youth will take it own course of action against the defaulters, a release received here said. The organization appealed to the general public to cooperate with the same.
IGNOU-B.Ed induction
Kohima, March 18 (MExN):The induction programme for students admitted to IGNOU-B.Ed degree course 2011 at Kohima Study Centre 2009/P, Nagaland College of Teachers Education, Kohima will take place on March 26 at 10:00 am. All the concerned students have been informed to attend the same without fail.
FGN terminates one cadre
Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): The ‘ministry of killo (home) affairs’, Federal Government of Nagaland, has terminated Bohoto son of Babu Singh of Manipuri origin, who has been serving as ‘regional secretary’ of United Sangtam Region (USR) of FGN with effect from March 17. “As non Nagas at any time or anywhere are no to hold any responsible authority post in Naga national Service. Further, the cooperation and the good will of each and every in respective of color or creed is welcome,” stated a press note issued by Velasuto Keyho, ‘joint secretary of ministry of killo

DMC warns
Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council has stated that most of the building owners/residents within its jurisdiction are in the habit of connecting outlet pipe of their respective septic tanks to the main drain, which is illegal and unhygienic. A press note issued by the chief executive officer, Nikhashe Sema stated that the building owners/residents are directed to stop such off practices immediately. “Anyone found violating this order shall be dealt with provision law.”
TSU consultative sitting on April 23
Kohima, March 18 (MExN): The Thetsumi Students’ Union will hold its Ist consultative sitting with the ex-presidents, ex-executives, senior leaders and all the concerned members on April 23 at 10:00 am at VDB multipurpose Building, Thetsumi village. In this connection, all the aforesaid bona fide members have been ardently urged and requested to attend the said meeting positively.
