FGN Pochury region suspends one

Dimapur, April 1 (MExN):
The Pochury Region FGN has suspended Wilson Katiry S/o Kekhwetelo of Matikhru village, from the post of Razou Peyu Kamaleah sub-region for six months due to violation of the region government resolution, misuse of power, corruption and defiling the good office of the Pochury region, FGN. Suspension AZHA will be awarded from the region office with immediate effect on February 24, 2011. This was informed in a press note issued by S. Robert Perry, secretary Pochury region, FGN.

JPN notifies public on conservation

Dimapur, April 1 (MExN):
The Jalukie Pumling Nko (JPN) has issued an order to conserve the Old Jalukie Community Reserved Forest which is an abode to several plants and herbs. The JPN has strictly prohibited hunting, felling of trees and trespassing in the Old Jalukie Community Reserved Forest with immediate effect, stated the Secretary JPN, Irai Hingleu. Anyone found violating will be dealt with according to customary law of the village, it stated.

DNSU organizes seminar on legal awareness

Dimapur, April 1 (MExN):
The Office of the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) in collaboration with     Nagaland State Legal Services Authority will be organizing a Training cum Seminar on   “Para Legal Volunteers” & “ A Legal Awareness Program” at AIDA Hall, Don Bosco Hr.Sec School on April 2 from 2:00 pm.  The union in a press note, stated that the resource person for the seminar will be, Mayanglima, district & session judge, Kohima, Hukato Swu district & session judge, Dimapur and Leonard Aier, principal, City Law College, Dimapur.

CYF youth conference postponed

Dimapur, April 1 (MExN):
The Chakhesang Youth Front informed today that the organization’s VII annual youth conference slated for April 5 to 6 April has been postponed to April 20-21 due to unavoidable circumstances.   The conference will take place at Chizami Town Hall.  All the delegates have been requested to reach on April 20. Parliamentary secretary Chotisuh Sazo will grace the function as the chief guest.
