Kiyevi note on land holding

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN):
Kiyevi Village Council informs all in concern both officials and “non-official”, to obtain No Objection Certificates from the village council before purchasing or selling land or any “other product” belonging to the village particularly Sakhphu areas. The stated areas are said to be reserved for cultivation. The village council issued a note today. In addition, the council asked all individuals and company who have purchased land from Kiyevi village to furnish al necessary documents to prove their holdings. The council will declare “every dealing” null and void if the citizen fail to do so.  The village council added that the council will not be responsible if “any redundant incident” happens.

Seminar on manner & etiquette

Kohima, May 7 (MExN):
Government Primary School Meriema connected with the first ever seminar on “Manner & Etiquette” which was graced by Zaveyi Nyeka, District Education Officer, Kohima. Speaking on the occasion, Nyekha said the school belong to the community with the arrival of communitization and it now with the Village Education Committee (VEC).  In this, he stressed in the need to obey the village elders and the village Education Committee. Krutsolie DIS, Chiephobozou also spoke on the occasion. The resource person for the seminar was Azonuo Viluo, Counselor Kekhrie Foundation while demonstration of Table Manners was led by Khriezonuo Suokhrie, VEC Member.

Tagore Commemoration Grant Scheme

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN):
To celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, the Government of India, Ministry of Culture has launched a scheme. “The Tagore Commemoration Grant Scheme” (TCGS) which shall remain open upto May 2012. A press note issued by Som Kamei, IPS, NEZCC Director informed that the scheme will assist and support the programme related to appropriate and befitting Commemoration of the multi-faceted genius of Rabindranath Tagore and his enduring contributions of Art & Culture. The note further directed interested not-for-profit organizations, NGOs to collect the details of the scheme from the office of the Director, North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur or for the same may be downloaded from the Ministry website www.indiaculture.nic.in

Workshop on internal quality assurance cell

Kohima, May 7 (MExN):
The state level quality assurance coordination committee is organizing a one day workshop on internal quality assistance cell on May 10 at Hotel Japfu Kohima at 10:00 am. Minister for higher & technical education and urban development Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Alemtemshi Jamir, IAS, additional chief secretary and development commissioner will be the guest of honour. Dr. Ganesh A. Hegde, assistant advisor, National Assessment &Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangaore will be the resource person. The programme will be chaired by F.P. Solo, commissioner and secretary, higher & technical education Nagaland. Vote of thanks will be proposed by Chubainla Jamir, director, higher education, Nagaland.

Orgs condemn May 2 kidnap incident

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN):
The Sovima Village Council and Sovima Youth Organisation have condemned the kidnap of head mason and a cook from the CM’s private residence, Sovima village on May 2. The Sovima Village Council and Youth Organsiation in a press note issued by the chairman of village council Neikhriehu Kense, secretary of village council Ruokuosilie Rüpre-o and president of Sovima Youth Organisation Thinosilie Punyü stated that they have been hurt to learn that some anti-social element has made an unwanted situation which is intolerable. The organisations have also extended its gratitude to the police force lead by Z Mero for tracking down the kidnappers in such a short time. They have also appealed the district administration to give befitting punishment  to the guilty and arrest the other three who are still absconding.

NNC emergency meet on May 11

Dimapur, May 7 (MExN):
The NNC convened an Emergency Meeting of all the CEC members, Senior Leader, Women Federation NNC, Ex-Naga Army and the invitees on May 11 at Oking (Headquarter) at 10:00 am to discuss the present prevailing situation and to take broader step for the interest of the people. Therefore, all are requested to come for this very important meeting positively for the best interest of all concerned, informed the information & publicity wing, NNC in a press note.
