NU commerce dept informs

Kohima, August 3 (MExN):
The department of commerce, Nagaland University Kohima has released the list of candidates seeking admission to M.Com programme for the session 2011-2013. The candidates who have already submitted application forms have been asked to come and check their names on the department notice board during office hours. The selected candidates for admission to M.Com programme 2011-2013 have been asked to come for the interview along with their original documents for verification. The interview will be conducted on August 10 for the candidates with Sl. No. 1-25 and for the remaining on 11th August at 10:30 AM in the department fop commerce, Kohima Campus, Meriema.

HoD history NU informs

Dimapur, August 3 (MExN):
The HoD of History & Archaeology, Dr. N.Venuh has informed in a press note to the candidates seeking admission to M.A. History & Archaeology are hereby informed that the written test will be held on 10th August 2011 at 10:00 am in the Department. The list of eligible candidates is placed in the notice board.

NSCN/GPRN (K) Lotha Region responds

Dimapur, August 3 (MExN):
The NSCN/GPRN (K) has cautioned the public not to be swayed by the statement given by one Motsuthung, who has recently joined NSCN. In a rejoinder issued by the secretary of Lotha Region stated that the Region vows that person like MP Motsuthung “anti Naga and anti national people will not go unpunished and neither forgiven even to their children and will be held accountable for his own mistake”. The Lotha Region has advised educated persons or “elderly people”, public of N/Longidang should questioned Motsuthung in the village court for defaming the village in the Naga Political movement.
“Such false provocation issue which as emotional and abstractive that hampered the advancement of the Nagas in general in the level of socio-cultural development. Hence forth the Lotha Region NSCN (K) does not arose enmity for the Lotha Community to the Northeast 7 states people having their won grievances and is of the view that any eventuality or consequences arises from the ‘IBRF’ govt/body upon the Lotha community, whether underground or over ground on this behalf will be solely responsible  by Shri Motsuthung and family members or his native villager (as he is elected an MP from N/longidang) in the near future (sic),” the note said.

Sumi Patriots' Day

Dimapur, August 3 (MExN):
The " Sumi Patriots' Day " (erstwhile Sumi Youth Day) which is held on August 4 every year to commemorate the death anniversary of late general Kaito Sumi is organized by the Sumi Hoho at 9:30 am in the Main Police Point, near the Sumi Patriots Monolith.  The hoho request all the frontal organizations, public leaders, general public, students and one and all to attend the programme. The hoho also request all the School Proprietors of Zunheboto town to send the students of class 8 and above to attend the programme, informed Secretary, Sumi Hoho, Vihuto Asumi in a press note.
Further, the hoho has informed all the concerned that there will be a Sumi Public Meeting (Sumi Baghi Hoho) on August 9 at the Town Hall at 10:00 am to discuss the prevailing situation in the Sumi areas including taxation by the factions.  All the Frontal organizations viz. Sumi Kukami Hoho, Sumi Totimi Hoho, Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, Sumi Officers' Union, Western Sumi Hoho, Sub Hohos, Area Executive Council Members, Business Union, Taxi and Truck Union and all the stakeholders of tax are requested to have a pre meeting and attend the said meeting positively.
