Drugs seized

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 24 (MExN):
A mobile patrol party of D/12 IR and Dimapur Police arrested four big time habitual drug peddlers and smugglers of illegal drugs from across the border on January 24 and recovered 10,198 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon and 100 tablets of Nitrosun from their possession. The arrested persons are Limasashi Jamir (Longjang village), Raju Talukhdar (Fellowship Colony), Hussain Ahmad (Purana Bazar) and Md. Habib Ur Rahman (Nagaon, Assam). A case has been registered in this connection, stated Addl. Superintendent of Police/PRO Dimapur.

DFoN condoles

Dimapur, January 24 (MExN):
Dreams Foundation of Nagaland has condoled the untimely demise of Mezheli K. Awomi mother of Hekishe Awomi, member of DFoN on 14 January. DFoN shares the grief with the bereaved family members. DFoN pray for comfort of bereaved family and also for eternal solace of departed soul.            

NBHM informs

Dimapur, January 24 (MExN):
The Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission will be participating at the Republic Day function at DDSC Stadium on January 26 by putting up a stall where freshly harvested honey will be on sale along with beekeeping tool kits and other attractive items. Informative brochures and handouts will also be distributed to the visitors. Public can visit the stall and learn about honey bees, stated a press note issued by a team member of NBHM.

FGN clarifies

Dimapur, January 24 (MExN):
In response to the press statement dated January 24 by Tokugha Zhimo, the office of the deputy commander-in-chief, Naga Army hereby with the directives of the kedahge, Federal Government of Nagaland, the supreme commander of the Naga Army, clarifies to the public that the self style person in question was relieved and served the release order on November 5, 2010 from the 6th B’de, S/C, Naga Army for his irreparable and disoriented conduct among his fellow National workers.  A press note from the PRO, Naga Army, FGN, Ruzhuse K Perry stated that later on December 8, he was "discharged from the national service by the said government for his continuous misuse of power, financial embezzlement and anti national activities". With his dishonorable discharged, ‘major’ A.K Yepthomi has been deputed as the officiating commanding officer of the 6th brigade S/C, Naga Army, FGN. Therefore, in view of "ensuing a transparent and efficacious relation among the Naga society, the Federal Government has warned the public not to entertain the person in question and his horde’s fraudulent propagandas originating from his nefarious stone aged mentality," the note said.
