Polio immunization today

Kohima, January 22 (MExN):
The department of health & family welfare will organize Intensive Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) for children from 0- 5 years of age on January 23 across the state. In this, 2604 polio booths have been set up across the state. The department requested the public to immunize their children at the nearest polio booth. “All children (0-5 years) must be given polio drops, the department said.

Census training at Jalukie

Dimapur, January 22 (MExN):
Three-day census training was conducted at Jalukie Town from January 20 to 22. The Supervisors and Enumerators of the three census charges namely, Jalukie sadar, Jalukie town and Ngwalwa circle were trained for the population enumeration by three master trainers along with the charge officers. On the last day, the nodal officers from census office Nagaland Kohima took part in the training. This has been informed here in a press note issued by the LDC Census 2011, Jalukie Sadar.

NPF Kohima division welcomes

Kohima, January 22 (MExN):
The NPF Kohima Division welcomed two NCP legislators- Dr. Chumben Murry, minister for agriculture and Pangyuh Phom, parliamentary secretary for rural development along with the supporters into the NPF party fold in the form of merger. “Great politician’s and visionary leader’s always look forward for the bright future for better development and uplift of the people. With the joining of the two NCP legislators into the NPF party, the regional party has been growing from strength to strength,” the NPF Kohima Division said in a release received here. It also hoped that joining of the two NCP legislators into the party fold under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and NPF president Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu, “with their good understanding and oneness the leaders can do better for the people of Nagaland.” While welcoming the duo into the party fold, the NPF Kohima Division also urged them to continue to work in the sacrificial manner in the larger interest of the party and the people of Nagaland.

‘Open Air Rifle Shooting’ competition at Pughoboto

PUGHOBOTO, January 22 (DIPR):
The monthly Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) meeting was held on January 11 in the office Chamber of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Pughoboto, chaired by ADC, A. Chumremo Odyuo.  The chairman cautioned about the attendance and functioning of officers during the training for supervisors, enumerators in Pughoboto for 2nd phase census. The house welcomed the new DIS Pughoboto, Ketoli Nachi. Reviewing the previous meeting minutes, the modality of hosting the ‘Open Air Rifle Shooting’ competition was deliberated and decided that the competition will be held at Pughoboto town on January 26 after the Republic Day function. The interested participants are directed to bring their own Air Rifle and pellets. The prize money will be as follows. 1st prize - ` 5000/-, 2nd prize - ` 3000/- and 3rd prize - ` 2000/-. The meeting also decided to contribute rupees 1000/- by each member for hosting the competition.    In regard to the construction of DIS Pughoboto office building, the house deliberated and allotted the site and entrusted the Department to pursue for their own end through Directorate of School Education for the construction of office building. The meeting was concluded after the work distribution for the forth coming Republic Day Programme.
