LONGLENG, AUGUST 27 (MExN): The District Health Society and National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) Longleng organized a program for the release of the ‘District Strategic Plan for TB Free Longleng by 2025’ on August 26.
The program was chaired by Dr Temsusashi, District TB Officer, Longleng. He delivered the keynote address on the plan of elimination of TB from the district. India has the highest TB cases in the world and also has the highest percentage of deaths caused by TB in the world.
Short speeches were also delivered by Dharam Raj, IAS, Deputy Commissioner; Dr Obangjungla, CMO Longleng; and Dr Kibangkumba, MS, District Hospital Longleng. The program was attended by various NGOs and civil bodies of Longleng district
Vote of thanks was delivered by Henmei Phom, TB Health Visitor (NTEP) Longleng. The program was held at DC Conference Hall District Headquarter Longleng.
