Renewal of non-motorised transport vehicle licences from July 1, informs DMC

DIMAPUR, JUNE 30 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has notified that the annual renewal of licences for all non-motorised transport vehicles operating within its jurisdiction will be carried out from July 1 to 31.

According to a press release issued by Dr Kuzonyi Wideo, Chief Executive Officer, DMC, the renewal applies to rickshaws, handcarts, thelas and other similar non-motorised transport vehicles.

Licence renewals will be undertaken at the DMC Office, IBH&IC Building, Forest Colony, Dimapur, during office hours on all working days.
The Council has directed all owners and operators to complete the renewal process within the stipulated period. 

Failure to renew licences by July 31 will attract penalties and other action from August 1 in accordance with the provisions of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, and the relevant rules and bye-laws, the release stated. 
The DMC has urged all concerned to comply with the notification.
