Rengma Cultural & Film Society discusses documentary project with Nagaland Gov

DIMAPUR, APRIL 1 (MExN): The Rengma Cultural and Film Society (RCFS) met with the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, at the Police Complex, Chümoukedima, on March 31 to discuss their upcoming project, “A Documentary on Rengma History, Culture, and Tradition.”

RCFS President, A. Shyerhunlo Lorin, introduced the society and its members to the Governor. Aga Rengma then presented a detailed report on the documentary project, emphasizing the importance of preserving the rich history, culture, and traditions of the Rengma people through literature and film.

The Society also highlighted its past activities, such as the beautification of the Raj Bhavan Kohima with indigenous art and sculptures, aimed at promoting and celebrating Naga heritage.

The Governor expressed appreciation for the Society’s efforts to preserve and promote Naga culture and assured them of his support in any way possible. The Society also sought guidance on navigating government agencies and accessing schemes that could help strengthen their initiatives.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with Aga Rengma delivering a vote of thanks to the Governor for his time, encouragement, and valuable suggestions.
