Dimapur, December 6 (MExN): The Dimapur Police, on December 5, has provided contact details for all officers within its Commissionerate, urging residents of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland districts to promptly report any sort of criminal activity.
Such timely reporting, especially by the business community, would help the police in curbing “extortion/kidnapping/abduction related crimes and other illegal activities in Dimapur and its adjoining areas and maintain safe and secure environment, it said.
Such reporting would also ensure take appropriate legal action against the perpetrators and the identity of the individuals reporting such activities shall be protected, assured Commissioner of Police Dimapur Kevithuto Sophie in a press release.
The Dimapur Police further asserted that cooperation from the public with the law enforcing agencies is paramount in preventing extortion and other related illegal activities.
Stand up and join hands with the police in its fight against extortion and illegal taxation by anti-social elements, it added.
