Phek, February 19 (MExN): The representatives from villages between Pfutsero to Phek via Sakraba on the ongoing two-lane road held a meeting at Sakraba village on February 19. The house passed resolutions unanimously in presence of the Deputy Commissioner Phek and his subordinate officials, CPO officials, CCPO officials, NHIDCL representatives, Contractors of the two firms namely KKB & MODHUCON.
A press release received here, said the meeting resolved to stand united for successful completion of the road from Pfutsero to Phek and to extend co-operation to the Administration and the Contractors by means of mitigating problems associated with it.
It also urged the concerned authorities to do justice to the public in matter of damage compensation. The house also resolved to let the concerned authorities of villages and colonies to take responsibilities in locating suitable and requisite numbers of dumping sites within respective jurisdiction by tying up with the administrative authorities and contractors.
The house further insisted on quality workmanship, that the road should never be compromised on matters of work or materials used for construction. It also assured to monitor and insist timely completion of the Project within the scheduled time.
The representatives from villages and colonies who attended the meeting were Pfutsero town mission colony, Rikizu colony Pfutsero, Porba village, Sakraba village, Pholami village, Upper Khomi village, Middle Khomi village, Losami village, Phek village, Phek town.
