DIMAPUR, JANUARY 25 (MExN): Friends on Wheels Motorcycle Club, Nagaland, is organising what it described as a “historic and largest-ever Republic Day motorcycle ride in Nagaland” on January 26, with the participation of 243 registered riders from Nagaland and Assam.
According to an invitation issued by the club, the ride will start from City Tower, Dimapur, and will be flagged off at 7:00 am. The destination of the ride is the 9 Assam Rifle Camp at Jalukie.
The organisers stated that the ride is being organised under the theme “Ride With Pride” and the motto “Driven by Youth, Powered by Speed.” It has been dedicated to honour Indian soldiers and to celebrate “the spirit of unity and nationalism.”
The club informed that the participants will include women riders, which it said reflects a focus on promoting women empowerment. It further described the event as a youth-led patriotic movement being held on Republic Day.
In the invitation, the organisers said the motorcycle ride is intended to convey “a strong message of unity, respect, and national pride.” It added that the ride “stands as a symbol of unity, patriotism, youth leadership, and respect for the brave men and women safeguarding our nation.”
