DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 18 (MExN): The BJP Nagaland is asking the 60 MLAs of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) to resign en-mass without wasting any more time and also to disband the Joint Legislature Forum (JLF). The BJP Nagaland in a press note issued by K.James Vizo, Spokesman and General Secretary has expressed its view that if the JLF of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly is “so concern and to prove their seriousness for the Indo-Naga issue, why not they all resign in mass in the first place then pave way to expedite the talk”. The BJP Nagaland stated that the Centre will then be convinced of the urgency of the matter.
Further this would clear the confusion in the minds of people of the region that this was not for “political mileage”. “Moreover action speaks louder than words”, the press note stated. The BJP Nagaland party also reiterated its earlier stand on “collective effort and equal participation of all sections of people including all political parties”.
“The people have suffered enough during the long political struggle. People want complete solution which will be acceptable to various sections of the people. It is clearly evident that people do not want piece-meal solutions at this juncture as this had repeatedly failed to provide lasting peace and development”.
The BJP also took a dig at the ruling NPF pointing out that the NPCC has rightly pointed that NPF has no courage to take bold decision “and the NPF can’t go to anybody in Delhi because of betraying all the National Political Parties”. It also termed as ironic that the NPF and NPCC legislators -20 JLF members had gone to Delhi for the 2nd time to meet the Union Home Minister, Central Leaders and Opposition leaders for early settlement to the Naga issue.
