Through his rejoinder to my article Nkhao Lotha has given me the unique opportunity to expose him who he was and who he is. Nkhao was an under metric. He joined Police Service and was active in hunting down the Naga freedom fighters during the worst Indian military operations in Nagaland. One conspicuous achievement of Nkhao was the attack of Lotovi Village against NSCN (IM) men in the late 1980s when he was Inspector of Police. The attack was commanded by Nkhao and one Alluwalia and in it commandant Ihose of NSCN (IM) was killed. He got gallantry awards from this achievement but he become NSCNs wanted man. Through remorse and guilty conscience and out of fear he took retirement from Police service as soon as he was promoted to DSP.
He then started to contest Nagaland state Elections with money on loan and as well as clan people’s money. He failed in three Elections and became bankcrupt and fallen into pathetic and pitiful life. This fact is known to one and all. As a clan’s man I felt extremely pity on him and his family.
As such, in 2003 general election I helped him succeed in election with whatever I could do for him, thinking that he would mend his ways and become a responsible man. But he did no better. Therefore, in 2007 General Election he was boldly checked by NSCN and as well as the NPF party for his anti national and anti party activities.
Had not I helped him won the election in 2003. Certainly he would have become worst beggar and he would have committed suicide. Now he shows himself to be someone sitting on my shoulder. What ungrateful fellow is he??
He (Nkhao) is now physically and mentally infirm. Therefore, clans men requested him again and again not to contest the election. If he did, it will automatically spoil the chance of Senkating’s winning of the election as they both depend on the same vote bank. But he openly declared that he was contesting the election not to win but to block the way for Senkathing. He had only that objective and he had succeeded.
“History repeats itself” is a good saying. During the head hunting period, his grand-father collected all the able men of his kith and kin and took them to attack a particular Village. In That head hunting campaign most of his men were killed by the enemy. His grand-father, therefore, any how escaped and came home crest fallen. He called his new born son SUMOMO who was the father of Nkhao Lotha. Sumomo means loss leader or loss leading (a leader who made to loss or death all his men). Among the Lothas, usually clans people form the base of electioneering of a candidate. Nkhao Lotha has contested five times with the support of Jami clan. The recent election is the sixth time for him. Jamis are not individual property or bond servants of Nkhao.
Therefore, Jami clan can not tolerate such move any more. As his grand-father had done Nkhao and his family have unequivocally sealed the political future of the Jamis. This will be translated into results in the years to come.
Regarding the bullet injured youths of Pangti, I stand on my previous statement. My previous statement was only general information. So don’t provoke me to lodge formal complaint against your son-in-low Albert Nrikhon as we have many points against him to the concerned authorities of our organization.
