A view of the ongoing road repairs along the Civil Secretariat stretch towards Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW).

Kohima, January 30 (MExN): Repair of the road from Civil Secretariat towards Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW) and Home Guard Department began on January 28 under the initiative of Principal Director, Dr Temjentsungla, DHFW. According to a press release from the IEC Bureau, DHFW, the road restoration had been much awaited as the poor road condition had been a great hurdle for years, especially during monsoon seasons, affecting the employees and travellers for all the adjacent offices.
As it was prerequisite for smooth operation of office work, Dr Temjentsungla, Principal Director has prioritized and initiated road repair and she expressed hope that the newly repaired road would aid better functioning of office work for the employees, visitors and all travellers in all the offices, the release stated.
The Principal Director also extended gratitude to all the departments who rendered help in cash and kind which has immensely aided to the success of the road repair. She conveyed her acknowledgment and gratitude to the departments of Home Guard, DIPR, Horticulture, Statistics & Economics, Transport, Land Resources, Science & Technology, Water Resources, and Officers and Staff of Directorate of Health & Family Welfare for all the help rendered, it added.
