
Mokokchung, July 25 (MExN): The Mokokchung District Task Force COVID-19 during a meeting held on July 24, resolved to impose certain regulations relating to the movement of vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods from Tzutapela/Watiyongpang gate till further orders.
The house resolved to implement the following regulations:
• All vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods via Tzutapela/Watiyongpang gate are allowed entry only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5:00 pm-11:00 pm.
• No interstate commercial vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods shall be allowed entry into the District through Merapani (Wokha District) check gate.
• No other vehicles are allowed to enter through the Tzutapela/Watiyongpang gate except those approved by the Home Department, Government of Nagaland with due written permit from District Administration.
• All drivers and handyman of the vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods to be allowed entry on the production of movement permit and photo identify card issued by District Administration.
• All drivers and handyman of the vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods to strictly observe and maintain COVID-19 protocols like wearing of facemasks, use of hand sanitizers etc.
• All drivers and handyman of the vehicles carrying essential commodities and goods to remain inside the vehicle at all times.
The Mokokchung DC in an order stated that any person/group acting in violation of this order will be deemed to have committed in offence punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
