Retd NPSC Secretary Late Dukhru Ltu laid to rest

Kohima, January 12 (MExN): Retired Secretary of Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) Dukhru Ltu passed away around 5:00 am on January 12 at Bethel Medical Centre Kohima. He was 89 years. He is survived by his wife, a son and three grandchildren.


Late Ltu earned early education from Kidima village then John Government School Viswema (presently John Higher Secondary School) and matriculated from Government High School Kohima (presently Govt. Higher Secondary School) in 1957. He was the first Matriculate and Gazetted Officer amongst Kidima village. He passed Intermediate (Class XII) in 1963. This was stated in a press release by P Tepekrovi Kiso.


Late Ltu began his career as Boy Service in Forest department and later got appointment as LDA in PWD, qualified through competitive examinations in NPSC. He was promoted as Secretary of NPSC with effect from December 1, 1990 till superannuation on March 31, 1994.


Retired Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Nagaland Visὓtha Ltu speaking at the funeral described Late Ltu as an honest man who had no fear even up to his death. Former Parliamentary Secretary Er Kropol Vitsu along with bereaved family and well wishers mourned the last journey of the departed soul. Late Ltu was laid to rest in his private residence, upper PWD colony Kohima. The funeral service was administered by Ministers’ Hill Baptist Church Kohima.
