
Dimapur, July 23 (MExN): The Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India edition got underway in Goa on July 22 with a Ceremonial Flag off being held today. Nagaland’s Yanren Jamio (right) and his partner Satish Kumar, from Bangalore, will be competing in the 1600cc petrol class, driving a gypsy modified (Competitor No. 135). This will be Jamio’s third year of participation as a competitor. He is also the lone competitor from North East. Touted as one of the world’s toughest 4×4 extreme off-road event, the Rainforest Challenge will push both man and machine to the limit as they navigate through the treacherous terrain and other tough obstacles. The stages are set in the jungles of Goa and with the demanding condition, both driver and navigator will have to be in sync and in top physical condition. A total of 40 participants are competing in this edition which will conclude on July 30.
