Nagaland’s musical landscape continues to flourish with the rising popularity of The Hill Brothers, a dynamic gospel band founded in 2022 by Kuvethito Curhah.

Rooted deeply in Chakhesang tribal heritage, this band is not just making waves musically but also creating a cultural movement through their songs sung in Chokri dialect.

The Hill Brothers gained widespread recognition with their heartfelt folk fusion song “Tüce Küsa” (New Year), composed by Kuvethito Curhah, which touched hearts across the region and beyond—amassing over 1 million views on YouTube.

This song stands as a celebration of new beginnings, community, and thankfulness to God.

The band members includes: Kuvethito Curhah, Muzihu Yhobu, Veto Chuzho, Vecunu Medeo, Mhasheyi Curhah, Mudongoyi Vero, Kuvengoyi Shijoh. Advisor: Ngotso D Sakhamo.

The Hill Brothers are not just a band, they are cultural ambassadors. Their mission is to promote native language and cultural identity through music, inspire young people to value their heritage and praise and thank God through gospel music.

Their upcoming single “Külayite,” meaning “Redeemed,” is set to be released soon.
