Dimapur, May 12 (MExN): The Rongmei Naga People’s Organisation (RNPO) has reiterated its stance on disassociation from Zeliangrong organisations and reaffirmed the “historic declaration” made at the Rongmei People’s Convention in Tamenglong on January 9, 2018.
“The Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) and the Zeliangrong Union (AMN) have failed to uphold the interests of the Rongmei Naga tribe on many counts and proved their lethargic leadership over the years except working for their own personal gains,” asserted RNPO in a statement issued by its Media Cell.
“Hence, any initiative/decision/move taken by any Zeliangrong organisation on behalf of Rongmei people at any platform will not be considered as valid nor will have people’s endorsement,” it added.
Further, the organisation said any individual from Rongmei community serving as office bearers in Zeliangrong organisations will be doing so of his/her own accord and RNPO will not bear the responsibility for their participation/action.
