Zunheboto, November 28 (DIPR): As part of the initiative of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), GOI and Association of State Road Transport Undertaking (ASRTU), the Motor Vehicles Department, Zunheboto organized a Road Safety Awareness Programme on November 28 at Town Hall, Zunheboto.
SDO (C) Zunheboto, Er. Namang Sepong Chang who graced the occasion as chief guest highlighted on the need to educate and create awareness among citizens about the need and the essence of road safety. He also spoke on the need to minimize injuries and death because of road accidents by applying road safety measures.
Awareness on road safety rules, traffic rules, speed limits, pedestrian rules were highlighted by Vice President, Sumi Hoho, Vihoshe Muru and Officer-in-Charge, Traffic, Akaho. Earlier, a keynote address was delivered by Sr. Motor Vehicle Inspector, Er. Arenbo Peter, while Assistant Professor, ZGC, compered the programme.
