Ruzazho (Phek) Dec 31 (Mexn): Minister for Agriculture Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu on Saturday assured that the DAN government has been giving priority on road connectivity across Nagaland for the reason that roads are a medium to take development to the people.
Speaking at the golden jubilee celebration of Ruzazho Baptist Church youth department, the minister informed of the government extending several packages for development and up-gradation of roads for uplift of rural economy in the state. With the realization that road connectivity continues to be the most important aspect towards extending to the masses developmental activity, the minister assured the general public that the government will continue to give special focus to this sector. The public will be able to enjoy the fruit of developmental activities when roads are in practical conditions, the minister said.
A new road construction project, Ruzazho to Kutsapo, is in progress, he said. The road is expected to be completed soon. The minister also highlighted various ‘achievements’ of DAN government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. The agriculture minister went on to add that DAN coalition will form ministry after the next general elections as well. Azo also called upon the general public to extend their unflinching cooperation to the present government for all-round development of the state. Referring to the golden jubilee celebration, the minister urged villagers to step forward with a reinforced vision and move towards greater heights of excellence. Additional Secretary of PHED, Zhaleo Rio, IAS, and Chief Engineer of PWD (R&B) Dr. Er. Vikuotuolie Angami, also spoke at the occasion. EAC Avelu was also in attendance. Er. Vekho Swuro hosted the jubilee feast. The jubilee celebration concluded here this evening.
